MANILA, Philippines — Vange Alinsug was thrilled to finally end National University’s five-game losing streak to La Salle after rising to the occasion in their second-round duel in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament.
After dropping all their four games including the Finals in her rookie season last year against the Lady Spikers, Alinsug poured in 22 points to anchorNU’s 22-25, 25-23, 25-16, 25-22 win over La Sallesans Angel Canino on Sunday in front of 11,000 fans at Mall of Asia Arena.

MANILA, Philippines–Roma Mae Doromal knew there was no more wager even before the Ateneo Blue Eagles stepped on the court.
But it won’t prevent the Blue Eagles from keeping their pride intact with a 25-17, 23-25, 25-23, 25-16 victory over the University of the East Lady Warriors on Sunday night in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament.

MANILA, Philippines — Vince Maglinao, JM Ronquillo, and Noel Kampton formed a potent trio as La Salle stunned three-time defending champion National University, 25-19, 25-18, 31-33, 27-25, on Sunday to secure at least a playoff for a berth in the UAAP Season 86 men’s volleyball Final Four at Mall of Asia Arena.
Maglinao unleashed 22 points, Ronquillo, who missed the previous game due to illness, had 19 points, while Kampton delivered 18 points, 22 excellent receptions, and seven digs to help La Salle improve to 8-3 just a half-game behind No. 3 NU (9-3).
