Oh jesus, I just saw it on espn as I cant watch the game living in this hell hole of MN and knew as soon as I logged on here there would be a thread about how this will be the collapse of the team. Like longball said nobody knows what happened. who knows whos fault this was? Im not saying its a good thing by any means but why do we always have to jump to conclusions and think the sky is falling. if they apologizeand talk it out tomorrow it will be like nothing happened on the team, while we sit here and try to analyze this to kingdom come. I also predicted this would be blamed on Ned. lets just let the guys take care of it. if this happened to anyother team half of us would be talking about the sweet fight in the dugout.

I'm not denying that Pistol. I just think it is funny how everyone passes judgement without knowing what happened. I agree he went overboard, but who knows what happened.

Tomorrow, 90% of people that follow sports will know what happened. They will know that Fielder PHYSICALLY (not verbally) attacked a starting pitcher on his OWN TEAM!!! That ain't right!

I wonder who is going to get in a fight next year during the second half of the season. Maybe Braun and Hart?

Want some french cries with that whamburger?

Sorry, I can't agree with you. I laughed pretty hard last year when I saw a couple Cubs players get into it in the dugout. Zambrano and his catcher. I don't think there was any contact between them, it was all yelling. It did get a lot of media coverage. This will get even more!

I don't get why everyone is saying we don't know what happened. Clearly Prince became physical with someone on his own team. That is out of line no matter what was said.

Just jokingly, Weeks vs Sabathia. Weeks has made errors the last two times CC has pitched.

[:'(][:'(][:'(][:'(][:'(] Watching Yost's postgame I don't know if I've ever been so mad at a manager/coach of a professional team (except maybe Mike Sherman). As predicted and expected he was defensive, arrogant, annoyed, and condescending. To paraphrase, "Its a family issue and we're not going to let the neighbors (apparently press or anyone else) poke their heads in." Too bad we can't call social services and have mommy (Yost[Fielder attacks Brewers starter (1)]) taken away and locked up to protect the kids.

Wow, I just saw it. That's pretty bad. If I was the manager Fielder would have been taken out right then, I don't care how bad I need him to win you don't do sh*t like that in the dugout. Have some maturity Fielder.

Well, I'm not watching, but if that is how he responded..............I have very little repect left of good old Ned Yost. Even if he does wear #3!

Fielder pushed Parra once then he kinda half pushed him in the face again before people held Fielder back.

A push and a shove....and a hand that reached Parra's face. *not a punch, but there was contact on the face. Granted, the shove was enough to put Parra right on his but.....good thing the bench was there.

Turn on ESPNews, they're running it every few minutes. FSN postgame hardly showed it as they toed the company line and came across as kind of cowardly.

I'm just wondering what exactly you think a manager is supposed to say publicly after that happens. I agree he should have been taken out of the game and Fielder, regardless of what was said, is completely in the wrong for physically attacking the pitcher. He should have been benched immediately. But what do you want/expect to be said in the postgame presser. He could have said something like "That's not how we act as professionals" ... other than that; he shouldn't talk about it. It is their business to take care of. The only thing public should be a suspension/fine. And he should be suspended for that. Hell; if Steve Smith got 1/8 of a season for his fight ... I think a game or two would be appropriate for Fielder. I just think you're pretty naive if you think ANY manager/coach is going to talk about that fight and start throwing around his thoughts. No one does that.
